Frequently Asked
Questions?
Are all
our roses scented?
Nearly all our roses are scented with some being more highly
scented than others.
Our bouquets will have a mixture of scented roses and aromatic
herbs.
Do we
offer same day delivery?
We do not currently offer same day delivery. We can deliver
bouquets for the next day if the order is placed on our website by
3.30pm.
How
are the flowers packaged?
The flowers are wrapped in tissue and cellophane and placed in
water bubble to keep them perfectly fresh on their journey. They
are delivered in a gorgeous green box which is tied with a satin
ribbon. A handwritten message card and flower food will be enclosed
with the bouquet.
How
long will the flowers last and how should I care for
them?
Our roses have a shorter vase life than their mass produced
scentless rivals and will, as nature intended, open and start to
shed their petals after about 5 days. There are however a number of
things you can do to extend the life of your flowers.
- Remove flowers from their
protective film and pour away the water.
- Carefully remove any
damaged petals from the outside of the roses.
- Rinse the stems in clean
water.
- Cut 2.5cm from the end of
the stems at a 45 degree angle.
- Place your flowers into
fresh water with the flower food sachet provided.
- Display your flowers in a
cool room, away from bright sunlight or direct heat.
- For maximum vase life
change the water ever 2 days as bacteria in the water will shorten
the vase life
Our roses are guaranteed to
last for 5 days if the care instructions are
followed.
Can
you deliver to all UK postcodes?
We can deliver to most UK postcodes but there are exceptions in the
highlands and Islands. Please refer to our Delivery Information
page for full details.
What
will happen if the recipient is not home to receive the
flowers?
There is a comments section on the order page which allows you to
suggest a place for the courier to leave the flowers if the
recipient is not home. The flowers will usually be left on the
step/porch or with a neighbour. If you would prefer that the
flowers are not left then please specify this in the comments
section. A card will be posted through the letterbox and the
recipient will need to telephone the courier depot to arrange for
re-delivery.
