Introducing The Real Flower Company
and its founder, Rosebie Morton.

I founded The Real Flower Company in 1999 with a vision to grow and sell beautiful scented flowers, whilst placing provenance, sustainability, and good business ethics into all the company does.

The lamentable lack of scent in most cut flowers inspired me to create The Real Flower Company so that our customers could experience the joy of fragrant English flowers, herbs and foliage.

I’m based at the family farm at Hinton Ampner in the South Downs National Park, visiting the London stores and the Chichester farm on a regular basis. I feel incredibly lucky that my daily commute is a meander through the flower paddock, so each morning I see new colour and growth and I arrive at my desk feeling uplifted by the beauty of everything we grow.

Rosebie.

At The Real Flower Company, discover some of the world's most scented, sustainably grown flowers.

Scented flowers

We grow and sell the finest scented cut flowers, herbs and foliage. Unlike most flowers and roses which often have the scent gene removed, our flowers have their scent gene firmly intact just as nature intended – and they smell divine. They are ideal for any occasion where they will open fully and are guaranteed to steal the show.

We have worked for years to grow and source everything we use in our bouquets and arrangements, placing scent, provenance and quality at the heart of all we do. In Rosebie’s words we grow and sell ‘scented flowers with character’ and this takes time and expertise. We’re proud and protective of our flowers having grown them by hand from cutting, bulb or seed and any natural imperfections are to be celebrated as part of their uniqueness.

Each Real Flower Company bloom is tended daily by Rob, our Farm Manager and his team. When he and Rosebie judge the flowers are ready they are handpicked for the florists at the Hampshire farm and the London shops where they become the bouquets, arrangements and displays required for all your events.

Good practices

We work hard to create the best possible sustainable business practices and today operate a carbon negative and climate positive business, taking pride in our LEAF mark and Fairtrade accredited farms. We’re always looking for ways to improve our approach as we all continue towards Net Zero status.

The Real Flower Company’s sustainable flowers and gifts are available for next day delivery across the UK* and the same day in London, delivered in the company’s signature luxury green boxes.

Our Sister Farms

To bring you wonderful, scented flowers year-round, we work with our sister farm, Tambuzi in Kenya run by Tim and Maggie Hobbs who share our values and vision to grow beautiful flowers whilst also caring for the planet, environment, and community. (see more here). Our Sweet Peas are grown on our farm in Chichester, a few miles away, where the climate is just right for them to thrive.
