Please Note: Occasionally stems may be damaged in transit. If this should occur then please prune the stem down to the nearest healthy leaf and your rose will flourish.

Please don’t worry if the stems arrive looking a little black on the outside – we are still very much alive. These are a little frosted from the cold South Downs weather here on the farm, and will spring back into life when the weather gets warmer.

A medium sized shrub rose with highly packed double creamy white blooms, with stronger honey/apricot colours in the centre. It has a strong, sweet fragrance and repeat flowers throughout the summer to autumn. Grows to 1-1.5m in height. Best planted in full sun. East, South, or West facing sheltered position. Moist but well drained soil.

About Our Rose Bushes

Grown on our sustainable South Downs farm, where we nurture 30,000 rose bushes for cutting. Each of our rose plants has been hand-tended by our small team to produce the finest roses. Your rose will be delivered in a tall pot to allow the long roots to grow straight and strong. Please be aware that during the main growing season (May - October) the stems are tender and may be damaged in transit. If this should happen just trim the damaged stem back, the rose will be fine. Between November and April you can expect your rose to have few or no leaves because they are in a semi-dormant state. Once delivered, our rose plants can be left in their pot for up to a year (but they will need to be kept watered and fed), or planted out at any time throughout the year. Planting instructions will be included with your rose.

We offer most of our bouquets in four or five different sizes. The image below should give you an idea of how big each size is although the size varies a little for each design. For example, our ‘Simply’ range contains roses arranged head-to head so the bouquet may be slightly more compact than other designs.

What will happen if the recipient is not home to receive the flowers?

There is a 'Delivery Instructions' section on the checkout pages which allows you to suggest a suitable place for the courier to leave the flowers if the recipient is not home. The flowers will, by default, be left ‘safe and dry’. If you would prefer that the flowers are not left, or left in a very specific place then please specify this in this section. Please note that the courier will not call the recipient to ensure they are at home before delivery.

Hospital Deliveries

Many hospitals do not accept flower deliveries, or require very specific delivery instructions. We will undertake a delivery on the basis that the flowers can be delivered to the main reception or goods-in bay (please advise which at the time or ordering). It is the responsibility of the customer to check that flower deliveries are allowed for a specific hospital. We cannot be held responsible should we attempt to deliver flowers to a hospital but are turned away.
